  5. The Technology Concepts PCC/Multiport intelligent card is a high-performance
  6. front-end processor designed predominantly for use in multiuser environments
  7. where heavy serial traffic is to be expected. The PCC cards keep host CPU
  8. overhead to a minimum by managing all communications with serial devices. The
  9. buffering of screen images for serial terminals and the processing of many
  10. other CPU-intensive tasks such as keyboard, barcode translation are also
  11. handled on-board. The PCC cards use no IRQ and even when fully populated with
  12. 1024Kb RAM occupy only 8Kb of host memory. The PCC utilises surface mount
  13. technology and is suitable for ISA, EISA and MCA micro-computers in 4,8 and 16
  14. port versions.
